LARONG PINOY

Sack race This is one of the most played relay games ever in Filipino parties and celebrations. This is because, as you play this with or without a partner, your strategies and skills will be tested. And as this game with a partner goes, it will test how you and your partner work and cooperate with each other. This game will need a sack, and a sack only. The player will have to jump until the finish line. But as in relays, the player/s are going to have to jump a roundtrip from his place, to the turning point, and back to his place.

Karing karing This is a blockbuster game when it comes to the kids. It is composed of different prizes like food, toys and money. The prizes are hung up on a (from the looks of it) grid-like-portable roof. And this roof is connected on a rope that is controlled by a person and as he brings down the karing karing, the children must jump, reach and go for the prize that they would like to take or have. 10891490_819494658110352_5481385047778180344_n

Sungka This is popular game played with a wooden board with 7 small holes in two rows and a big hole at each end. The players will put 7 stones on each small holes and they will pick their bahay (big holes). The first player will pick the stones he/she will distribute on the small holes. Each hole should have only 1 stone distributed on it including your bahay. You’ll never stop distributing stones unless your last stone will be in your bahay. In case your last stone will be in a small hole then get the other stones from that hole and distribute them again until your last stone will be in your bahay. After that, the next player will be picking is/her stones and distribute it. Your target is to store all the stones in your bahay. Before, they use this as rituals.
